data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157ef3\">\u00a0have developed trailer tanks with 1,500 and 1,900 litres capacity.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Fuelchief approached\u00a0<a class=\"tve-froala fr-basic\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157efa\">Motovated Design &amp; Analysis<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f00\">\u00a0to validate the prototype trailer\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tve-froala\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/tank-design-analysis-certification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f06\">tank<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f0c\">\u00a0designs and to complete a compliance assessment against the requirements of the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tve-froala fr-basic\" href=\"https:\/\/worksafe.govt.nz\/dmsdocument\/5307-acop-flammable-liquids-road-tank-wagons\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-css=\"tve-u-1799c4cdcb8\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f12\">Worksafe NZ Approved Code of Practice for Flammable Liquids Road Tank Wagons<\/span><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0<span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f1b\">The goal was to validate the designs and issue a\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tve-froala\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/team-motovated-welcomes-joe-bain-cpeng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f21\">CPEng<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f2a\">\u00a0design statement, so the design could be reviewed and approved by a\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tve-froala fr-basic\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/team-motovated-welcomes-graham-voss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-178fc44e32c\">HSWA compliance certifier.<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div id=\"ultimate-heading-25606a633c926eca3\" class=\"uvc-heading ult-adjust-bottom-margin target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fuelchief<\/a>\u00a0provided CAD models of the two prototype sizes to\u00a0<a class=\"tve-froala\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Motovated<\/a><\/span><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f52\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f52\">, and provided access to a physical prototype that had already been built.\u00a0 We went through the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice, checked if and how the design satisfied these requirements, and carried out calculations and analysis as needed to confirm compliance.<\/span><\/span><a class=\"tve-froala fr-basic\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f57\">Motovated<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f5a\">\u00a0used\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tve-froala\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/finite-element-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f5d\">Finite Element Analysis<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f60\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f60\">\u00a0to simulate the 35 kPa pressure test and the performance of the rear bumper under rear impact and vehicle under-run situations.\u00a0 We also used calculations to verify the strength of the connection between the trailer and the tank, the Static Roll Threshold of the trailer, and the hitch downforce at different fill levels.<\/span><\/span>Some design changes were required after these calculations and design feature assessments, these were fed back to<a class=\"tve-froala fr-basic\" href=\"https:\/\/fuelchieftanks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f63\">Fuelchief<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f66\">\u00a0design staff and incorporated into the models and drawings.\u00a0 After checking these drawings,\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tve-froala\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f6a\">Motovated<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f73\">\u00a0were able to issue a\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tve-froala\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/team-motovated-welcomes-joe-bain-cpeng\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f78\">CPEng\u00a0<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f7e\">design statement attesting that the\u00a0<\/span><a class=\"tve-froala\" href=\"https:\/\/www.motovated.co.nz\/tank-design-analysis-certification\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span data-css=\"tve-u-1799c157f85\">trailer tank designs<\/span><\/a><span data-css=\"tve-u-178fc44e32f\">\u00a0satisfied the Approved Code of Practice.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]<div id=\"ultimate-heading-64806a633c926ecbc\" class=\"uvc-heading
