Dropping something can wreck it. It can also wreck anyone it lands on. We can help.
There’s a good chance your business has at least some lifting and handling equipment. This could be anything including lifting or spreader beams, stillages, skip bins, lifting eyes, forklift jibs, fork extensions, bale lifters, vacuum lifters, and the list could go on.
Sometimes, you’ll have existing gear where the certification has run out (or maybe it was never certified in the first place). Other times, you might need new lifting gear designed.
Motovated can help – this sort of thing is bread and butter work for us. Whether it’s a simple lifting beam or something more bespoke 3 , you’ve come to the right place.
If it’s existing equipment, a Motovated engineer will visit your site, inspect the gear and make a condition assessment (and probably run through a proof load test). After some calculation work back at the office, we’ll be able to issue a CPEng certificate for the item.
If you need something designed, we’ll start by having a chat with you about the problem you’re trying to solve (and what you’ve already tried, so we don’t reinvent the wheel). From there, we’ll get stuck in to coming up with a design you’re happy with, that solves the problem and issue a set of drawings for manufacture. If needed, we can also issue a CPEng design statement at this point.
Once the new equipment is manufactured, we can inspect and proof load, before issuing a CPEng certificate for the finished item.
